Franziska Günther studied school music, choral conducting and German studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin as well as voice and vocal pedagogy at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin, graduating from both programmes with a diploma.
She is head of the music department at the Max-Delbrück-Gymnasium Berlin-Niederschönhausen, teaching advanced courses and directing, since 2001, the “Young Voices MDG” .
From 1996 to 2008, she led the chamber choir “enCHORe”, with which she successfully took part in several competitions. in 2009, she founded the ambitious a cappella vocal ensemble “Fugatonale”.
She has worked as a lecturer in voice, training singers at the Berlin choir conducting seminar, as a singing teacher at the Berlin-Treptow and Prenzlau music schools and as a voice coach in the Berliner Oratorien-Chor and the Uckermark Concert Choir.
She is also in demand as a soprano soloist in Berlin and the surrounding area. She has premièred various works of contemporary music, works with many choirs in Berlin and has been involved in concerts and CD recordings with the Ernst-Senff-Choir Berlin, the Brandenburg Chamber Choir and the Eres-Ensemble.
